By accessing or using GlowChess, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. The service
GlowChess provides an online chess platform including gameplay, training tools, community features, and related content. Features may change, expand, or be discontinued over time.
2. Accounts
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.
- Provide accurate information when registering and keep it reasonably up to date.
- One person should not create multiple accounts to abuse rankings, rewards, or referrals.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or harm other players.
3. Rules of play and fair use
When playing or interacting on GlowChess, you agree to:
- Play fairly — no engine assistance, bots, or collusion in rated/human matches unless a mode explicitly allows it.
- Treat other players with respect; harassment, hate speech, and threats are not allowed.
- Avoid exploiting bugs; report issues through support instead.
- Do not attempt to disrupt servers, scrape data abusively, or reverse-engineer the service beyond what the law permits.
4. Intellectual property
GlowChess branding, interface design, code, graphics, lesson content, and other materials are owned by GlowChess or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may use the service for personal, non-commercial play and learning. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from our proprietary content without permission, except for content you create yourself (such as your username or support messages).
5. User content
By submitting messages or other content to us (for example via Contact Us), you grant GlowChess a non-exclusive license to use that content to operate and improve the service and to respond to you. Do not submit unlawful or infringing material.
6. Disclaimers
GlowChess is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free software, or specific rating outcomes. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GlowChess and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, ratings, or opportunities arising from your use of the service.
8. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We may restrict or end access to the service for maintenance, abuse, or operational reasons.
